Just looking at the receiver set. I don't have a ton of experience in the AR world to say that I could never live without a forward assist, but that's truly the only thing stopping me from buying a set. Something as simple as home defense when I want to be quiet, I can soft release the charging handle and use the forward assist. Slick sides look cool, but not sure if I want to make the jump yet.

I'm putting together a 6.5 Grendel, got an upper with no forward assist.
Looks really good without it.

You can usually use your thumb in the indent on the bolt if it's not stuck too badly.

Wilson receiver sets came in today.

They had some bad arse deals for a few weeks. I bought 10 boxes of underwood 300 BO 194 gr max expansion subs for 29.99 a box. It sells at Midway for 69.99 a box. Best 300 BO subsonic round made.
Love my Wilson set glad you could grab a set. One of the deals I have seen in a long time.
You may want to get the Wilson Billet LPK to go in it. I did and everything fit like a glove.

1st is a long-range gun that will probably be built first or bought. This is going to be a bolt action competition style rifle most likely in 6.5 or 6 Creedmoor.
But I also have just discovered the 6 ARC round. Anyone have an AR15 setup in this round? Seems like an interesting option for an 18-20" barrel gun. Would be able to reach out better than .223/5.56.

I bought 2 boxes, should have gotten more. Sighted in with it and my new suppressor. Hoarding the remaining rounds until another sale comes.

I considered it before putting together a Grendel, but ammo here is sparse and expensive for 6 arc.

It was probably some they found in a crate that had been around for awhile. No way they were selling it at that type of loss. I paid. $.90 per bullet for the Lehigh bullet 6 months ago. It’s $1.20 per now.
Pre Covid it sold for about $34 a box at Midway. If it does go back in stock for that price my wife is going be upset.
I have 300 bullets and brass to load. That will give me 600 rds of it. I bought a shite ton of S&B 200 gr subs when SG ammo had it for 11.99 a box right before Covid started. I think I have 2200 rds of subs now.
The great thing about the Lehigh 194 gr is the terminal performance is good out to 300 yards. I have killed quite a few hogs with it at 150 yards.
