Ahh yea ok didn't think about that. From the side view it reminded me of last night putting mine on. Even tho I thought to my self not to put it on backwards...I did

I’m planning to buy another complete rifle in 5.56 to set up with an aim point. Want a rock solid rifle with a CHF barrel. Daniel Defense still the way to go?

Planning to pick up the V7lw unless there’s something better out there for the money

Does it have to be CHF?
Yep, DD is great still.

I’d prefer it for barrel life. The DD barrels are tight enough for what I’ll do with it

Check out BCM too. It would probably be around the same price and you get a better lower.
New DD is probably gonna run you at least $1500. Here's a slightly used M4V1 for $1300.

https://www.gunprodeals.com/product-details?id=625355

A BCM CHF upper would be $515. $160 for their BCG. $350 for a complete lower with their enhanced trigger and Gunfighter stock. Their uppers also come with a comp that retails for $85 on its own (Mod 0 Gunfighter).

better lower.

what? exact same 7075 T6 forged receiver, exact same specs, but different rollmark. neither has any bonus features like ambi controls, magwell flaring, or an integrated trigger guard. you may prefer BCM's furniture to DD's, but i wouldn't let a stock or pistol grip push you one way or the other if there's a deal to be had. The only lowers on the market that are "better" than any others are Radian, Noveske, ADM, etc since those have actual tangible features that the others don't have. everyone else gets their lowers made from the same 5 or so forging companies (LMT, CMT, LAR etc)

that being said, I agree that the BCM is probably more bang for your buck. DD's typically have slightly better construction, but both are way overgassed and the quality of everything is pretty comparable despite DD's higher price. If you can finda good deal on a V7 Pro series DD, pull the trigger. That gets you their 18" S2W barrel, an SD3G, and their badass MD.

please don't get an M4V1, quad rails are so 2010. Both the MCMR and the V7 rails are excellent, can't go wrong with either one.

what?

I should've specified. Not the lower itself but the enhanced trigger.

I see what you mean, but I normally standardize with an SSA-E

Yeah, the BCM PNT is no SSAE but it's still a nice upgrade over the standard. I think it's $70 on its own.

Anyone making knock off daniel defense fixed sight style sights? I like the set I have but the price is stupid. It’s a $3 piece of mass produced metal. Someone out there has to make something similar for a fraction of the price.

I'm sure you could find airsoft knockoffs on Ebay. Is the price really that bad though? Like LMT charging $130 for their chopped carry handle rear sight.

Have you pulled the trigger yet? If I was you and had to get CHF then I'd get a BCM 16" LW upper with a middy gas system. CHF is $515 while "regular" is $439 (both include their $80 Mod 0 comp instead of the vanilla A2 FH).

Edit: Found a DD M4V7 for sale in Louisiana for $1100. Also comes with a DD front and rear sight.

Damn TD needs to get with the times and have a PM function.

Hey Reds on Reds on Reds. I saw one of your red fish photos on this site. I am the art director for Coastal Angler Magazine and we loved the photo. Is it possible we could use it for our fly fishing issue for October. We would be sure and send you some Coastal Angler swag. Let me know at my email: graphicsdept@coastalanglermagazine.com. Thanks - Todd
