What’s the barrel twist rate?
Posted on 6/9/18 at 1:32 pm to bbvdd
Looks like the diamondback has a 1:8 twist.
It “should” stabilize lighter bullets ok.
What were you shooting when it was all over the place grain?

I would probably have SBR'd it at 10.5" (
), but I dig it. Happy shooting.

I’ll eventually put in for a tax stamp
But we can’t have SBRs in base housing here

Looks like you built it upside down. Looks good otherwise.

I have a .300blk SBR and it's a pain in the arse because of the rules about carrying across state lines.
I have a 5.56 10.5" pistol that I keep in my truck for that very reason.

What's the TAT on an SBR stamp these days?

quote:how so? you just have to alert them. I know people who just file the form every year on the same date. but that is going to just one location, their camp.

You can see how long the various forms have taken to get processed for individuals at NFATracker.com. However, take it with a grain of salt because that info just shows the recent past and is not necessarily an indication of the future.

I always wondered if those numbers were from time of check cashed or what
Posted on 6/13/18 at 12:42 pm to Timmayy
When i did mine last fall the credit card was charged within a couple days of me mailing it off.

Looking at the chart it appears that each bar starts from "day purchased", which I guess you could interpret as the day the form went in the mail/was submitted, the red portion represents how long it took to get to Atlanta, process your form and take the payment. The green section would cover the amount of time from your check being cashed or card being charged until the form was approved. The blue would be how long it took the approved form to get from the examiners desk, into/through the mail and into your FFL's hands.
