I have a rotating head bench vise. I really like that it rotates with two sets of teeth.
It’s more expensive but I use both sets of teeth about the same depending on what I’m doing.

I picked up a $25 vise on amazon and some 3/8" bolts from ace. It does everything i have asked it to

I have a small 4" craftsman but I was worried it wouldnt be robust enough to hold up...then I would have to re drill holes. Maybe ill try it anyway...

I'm looking to upgrade my bolt carrier group to a nickel boron one. Any suggestions or good prices out there.
Ive pretty turned my prebuild AR into a custom the last few months. About to order a magpull butt stock.

Why do you want nickel boron?
Primary arms has one for $139. Seems pretty cheap but it’s an Anderson.
Which Magpul are you getting? I really like the looks of the UDR but you’re gonna pay for it.
I think I prefer the Mission First Tactical minimalist more right now though. My next one will likely have one.

I have a MFT Minimalist on one of mine, and it's a real pain to adjust the LOP on. Don't have any issue with any of my Magpul stocks. Anyone else experience this?

Monmouth has toolcraft nib bcgs that come with lifetime warranty. I have one and like it more than my bcm. The nib is great for cleaning and feels slick to the touch.

Just finished this little guy. Bare bones PSA build.
Everything in it or on it besides the lower feels rough... But it functions perfectly.
Ran it with WD40 only to wear it in. Pulled everything apart, oiled HEAVY, and ran another 100 rounds through it.
Zero failures and a fun shoot.
But mother of God is it loud.

Couldn't torque the rear castle nut because I didnt have the tool.
Otherwise, all you need is a small punch, a razor knife and a tiny hammer to build a lower. And whatever head holds your grip on.
Castle nut was applied with shop towels and 22inch channel locks

i put together several in my shower with a blanket hung over the top. it's like a quarantine tent for assembling lowers

556. I thought of getting a 30 cal, but don't need one now. If I have a need for a 30 cal can I will get another down the road.
