That's a pretty good deal. My buddy picked up a 16" full Troy upper with the Alpha rail, which I really like.

Ya I lucked out. My buddy bought the same upper last week for $540. Glad I waited, I think it's a special they have after the shot show that just ended.

I agree - unfortunately BCM seems content to die on the Keymod hill for now.

Anyone ever polish a trigger? Everything i've read suggests 600 grain up to 3,000 grain. I have only been able to find 600 and was wondering if that would do the trick.

All the reciprocating is done within the confines of upper receiver with a 22LR bolt. A 223 bolt move into the buffer tube when fired and the recoil spring is within the buffer tube. On a 22LR AR15 bolt the recoil spring is within the bolt itself.

From right to left. First section is the barrel collar which mates the bolt to the barrel. Second section is the reciprocating bolt section. Guide rod is next with the recoil spring. The plate at the end is the "stop" and presses against the buffer inside of the buffer tube. Spring tension from the buffer tube hold the 22LR bolt assembly in place. Since the bolt assembly is stationary in the upper and doesn't reciprocate back into the buffer tube you can take the buffer tube out and replace it with a plug. I chose to use a pistol buffer tube because even if I don't shoulder it I can shoot it much better with a cheek weld.

It's a short bolt and the spring is part of the bolt.

Look at the S&W 15-22

Look in an automotive store. They'll have wet/dry that should go done to 2000 at least.

This is what I use to sharpen my plane and chisel blades.

wow, i had no idea, i assumed it was similar action to the 223

so all 22lr bolt assemblies are this way?

It said on their site shipping takes a while so at least I knew upfront. I don't know why they're so slow to ship

I just got an email from primary arms and it looks like my upper will be here Friday. I heard they were fast but Jesus I don't know it'd be here that quick. I only paid $9 for regular UPS Ground

Primary Arms is my favorite AR parts web vendor because of their incredibly cheap shipping charges and how quick they get it in the mail.

My BiL ordered a rifle kit last Thursday from PSA and it shipped the next day.

I'm not sure what parts you are really looking at but they have a great deal if you like Geissele triggers.

My upper finally shipped today, but my lpk still hasn't shipped. I'll be hard pressed to order from psa again. I ordered everything last Thursday.
