Christmas came early to round out my Dead Air family. Checks cashed on April 19, stamps arrived today.

I've had the Sandman-S, but just picked up their modular 45 can (Ghost M) and the rimfire Mask. The Ghost is in the K configuration in the pic, it has an extended baffle stack you can attach for full length.

Jesus that's a depressing wait time.

Oddly enough the 1:7 likes lighter and faster over heavier and slower..
higher grain bullets shine at range. If you're only shooting 100 yds it's easy to out shoot a 77 gr SMK with a 55 gr VMAX.

MOA with iron sights
at 100 yards? I have decent eye sight but I I don't see how anyone can get that type of precision with the standard AR15 iron sight setup.

astigmatism
Trying to figure this one out on my end. I have an astigmatism...I wear toric contacts. First time I tried a aimpoint the dot a big smear to the upper left corner. Just when on the gun...looking in the store it was fine. I got a eotec and it was better but still messed up. Fast forward to now and I got rid of the eotec and got some vortex prism sights with the etched reticle becasue thats supposed to not mess up with astigmatisms....but at first look its doing the same thing as the red dots and holos. So I took my contacts out and had my glasses on and looked...and the reticle is perfect on all of them! So it seems maybe my contacts are causing issues? Kinda got me pissed off if anyone has some input on the matter lol

I wear glasses and contacts myself. I don't have astigmatism but I notice that with contacts I never can shoot as well as with glasses on. I believe it's because the contacts are flexing or having some movement.

Me too. For some reason I have not had an issue using aimpoints with contacts or glasses. I did screw up my cornea recently (don't know if it is permanent or not at the moment) on my left eye so idk how that changes my non-dominant shooting when I shoot complete lefty.

I have astigmatism and use a T2 as my primary optic. I just ensure it is at the lowest possible setting to still be visible. Really cut down on reticle bleed.

I get it with my Magpul pros and Troys.

Same here. And outside is way better looking than inside. Still annoying. If I lay my head sideways more over the stock it goes away. But it looks like I'm trying to take a nap. At this point I'm wondering if it's the brand lense/scrip or if this is just how it's going to be.

Anyone have any recs for an armorers wrench? Don't want to spend the money on the magpul unless I have to for a wrench that won't break

I have a Wheeler but also have a specific tool just for barrel nuts that has the proper markings for offset with both 3/8" and 1/2" drive torque wrenches. Both together cost $30.

As the resident Dead Air fanboy, I thought this was pretty cool, and may interest all you Omega owners. They have adapters in the works that will allow the use of their QD system, and thus their flash hiders and brakes, with the Omega and Saker. Their QD really is as simple as is gets, especially if you are one that likes your can to be recessed under your rail.

That's awesome. I'm surprised there aren't more aftermarket QD mounts or adapters out there. Given the rise in popularity of silencers it seems like it would be a pretty good niche market.

Want to apply for form 1. Want to do a 300 blackout build. Avg price for the gun trust?
Current quote at $200. Should I shop or is this close to standard? Have never applied before
