Just spoke to one of the guys at Stuborn Mule Outdoor Supply and their builder sets are on sale for $500 from $725.

Anyone have any experience with their products?

Careful with that LPK in the kit. That looks like one of the hammers from the bad batch that was going around a couple months ago that one of my suppliers tried to sub me when their mold broke. The hammers were causing the hammer spring left hand side leg to take a set due to an over sized lug on the hammer from a bad mold or bad finishing. I immediately caught it in testing, but I still see others selling them. I'd also bet if it is indeed that hammer the disconnector has about a 1-2 thousanth lip on it where it engages the hammer, which will keep the trigger from resetting if held down while the rifle cycles. Knowing that they are cutting corners or not testing their own product with the LPK would make me weary of the upper. I would stick with brand name stuff from companies that stand behind their products. Usually there's a reason no one wants to put a/their name/brand on something.

Not really AR related, but figured you may have some good info on this. What are the pros/cons for direct thread vs piston suppressor mounts for a pistol?

also curious about this... had a buddy recently go from ASR mount to direct thread because his can went flying off after shooting one day.

Just Google the asr mount issues. Your buddy wasn't the first and he's not the last.

The maad mount from silencerco seems so much better than the asr. It had its own issue of not coming off though. Mine has never had an issue, and it seems they fixed it, just wish they would have gone forward with it instead of the asr.

The biggest CON for not using a piston on a lot of pistols is that it would not cycle . Direct thread only works on pistols that have fixed barrels like most .22s and centerfire pistols like the HK P7 or Walther PPK. I didn't watch it, but this video should explain it based on the title: Suppressor Booster Operation Explained: How A Nielsen Device Works & Why It's Needed

I can't really make out the hammer in the PSA pic, but most of theirs I have seen have the 'boxed s' which is a good hammer.

They make a damn good trigger. The sales going on right now would be an excellent time to pick one up. Although, if you miss out, Primary Arms blows them out at 25% off pretty regularly. In fact, so regularly I would never pay more than 25% of retail for one.

Yeah, I figured I would be looking over the next few days for some deals. Any particular model you recommend at that price point?
