Finally built one.

Looks good, but your sights are on backwards.

Can't wait to buy mine.

My 4x Aero lowers came in today to my FFL. Probably will begin to attempt my build this weekend.
I have everything I believe except my BCG that's on backorder and my Vortex Spitfire AR that isn't shipping until late April-May.

What do I need a clevis pin for?

Page 489 of this thread. Saves a bunch of headaches and lost parts.

Some people struggle with installing the front detent. The only receivers I have problems on are ones where the spring/detent hole is drilled to the exact depth where the spring sits either too high for the detent to stand up in the hole or a middle depth where the spring doesnt stick up far enough so that the top of the detent won't rest on the top of the take down pin hole. Otherwise it takes me about 3 seconds to get it in.

Battle Arms Development makes the front detent stupid easy with their pins.

X2 I had heard countless horror stories about the installing the front takedown. Literally took 20 seconds the first time.

I am about to wrap up my SBR. I was wondering what people here thought about having the handguard fit over the suppressor. I am pretty sure I will just leave the can on the barrel, but even if I don't, it's not like unscrewing it is a big deal.

I think it looks cool, but wouldn't do it.
Hot can under handguard = hot hands

Fair enough. But the entire can wouldn't be under the guard, jut the last 4". For some reason, I really like the JP rapid configuration guard and the shortest they come is 12.5". My barrel is 8.5".
Seems dumb to buy a guard that is 4" longer than the barrel just because you like the way it looks.

I have to say I was happy with the Wheeler tool. I got Mrs. Midnight to help with it, but after all the horror stories, it went much easier than I thought.
I don't have the reps that Propagandalf has - so I'm not going to boast about 3 seconds (nor would I
ETA: For me - the biggest pain remains the friggin roll pins. I don't think I did a great job on the castle nut, but I think I did well enough to give it a C plus.
Everything else was as easy or easier than I predicted - the trigger particularly.

I've had trouble finding a good rail for my 8.5" 300BO. I have a heavy arse Yankee hill quad rail right now but I hate it
