Anyone familiar with barking irons firearms? Seem to have a bunch of lowers for a good price. Thoughts?
Also, where is the best online exchange? Or the most credible?

I believe a few of the regulars in this thread speak very highly of Barking Irons.

Cool, thanks. I like the idea of buying in a store, so if they have just a good of option for similiar price, then thats the way id go!

Good guys. I've done 4 FFL exchanges with them.

is PTAC the stuff you want to "avoid"?
Posted on 1/2/15 at 3:22 pm to donRANDOMnumbers
Yes IMO...and I'm all about good value at a good price. I've heard bad stuff about the PTAC line of parts. PSA is great, but their PTAC line is very hit or miss- Non milspec and lacking QC so a lot of ppl run into issues with parts fitting.
I'd roll with a $550 S&W or $500-$550 DPMS if you are trying to go with a budget AR.

the trouble has been finding these. best S&W i could locate is $699 with no rail to place sights on.
otherwise i've found this Colt, which really isn't even a Colt. just licensed as one

this adams arms

the more i research and look the more i find there is a shite ton of manufacturers and brands, almost endless. makes it even more difficult!
Also still getting comfortable with this whole online purchase of guns thing.
any recommended FFL around BR?

Sionics upper w/handguard, BCG, rear sight and charging handle $560
PSA complete lower $170
Done $730, any questions?
I promise you what I have posted will be better than that S&W or Adams Arms
