It's a Del-ton upper w/ heavy barrel, DPMS lower, flat top.

No fricking way would I pay $1500 for a Del-ton. That's like the bottom of the barrel.

I have a new-in-box, never used complete build kit for an AR15 from Palmetto State Armory. Everything you need to complete your stripped lower. Includes PSA M4 Stock, A2 Pistol grip, Lower Parts Kit and Mil-Spec diameter 6-position buffer tube assembly. Asking $200 OBO. Will consider trades.

Just saw this on CL for $200.

I would try to make it to your nearest Academy or sporting goods store (not Dicks) as often as you can at their open time and ask them when they will receive shipments. You can then look for a Windham, Colt, or Bushmaster from them, and you should spend under $1k, or maybe right at that.

I think they were 180 with the Magpul furniture, and 119 with whatever is standard.

I would suggest waiting a few weeks until some of the craziness dies down. Your still going to pay a premium. Some keys to look for is make sure the upper and lowers are made from 7075 Aluminum. You want a barrel that is made of 4150 steel and chrome lined. Rock River, Stag and Smith and Wesson all make quality AR platform Rifles. If your patient you should be able to find one in the 1000-1300 range. Now that the threat of an AWB is over prices will start to come down. Parts availability will keep things up for a few months.

Do you really think an AWB is going to get through the house or the Senate even votes on it?

I think there is a strong possibility, when 55% of Americans thinks that we should have more regulations on either semiautos or hi cap mags.

There is always a chance but like I said there is not going to even be a vote sans some sort of massacre by another lunatic.

Dude, you should just wait a few months. Or if you have the time go to Academy or Cabela's every morning when they open. You can pick up a Colt or Sig for hundred's less than you are talking about. A Bushmaster is even less. They get them, they just don't know what or when.

I've been there twice in the last week when they have gotten AR's. They had a Windham and S&W the first time, and a Bushmaster the second time.

I paid $899 for the Windham that I got from there. The S&W was the same price. I'm not sure about the Bushmaster.
