I bought both two of the lowers the Tuesday after Sandy Hook. I was lucky to get them. I went into a local shop and a guy in front of me was buying the last 2. He was filling out the 4473 and handed him his DL. Store guy behind the counter said " I can't sell you the lowers". Dude's DL was expired. Needless to say I stepped right up and bought them. The guy walked out long faced because he knew he just lost out.

I think I insulted a guy on bs, $600 for an complete PSA upper minue bcg and charging handle is to much in this climate I guess.

Anyone have any intel on a replacement furniture kit? It doesn't appear anything that says Magpul is available anywhere.... any other manufacturers I should be looking at?

Thought Magpul was king, I'm sure some of these folks have some other brands in mind. Just steer away from Tapco at the moment

It all depends on what you are looking for. There are many different makers of furniture. Blackhawk and Bravo Company are the one's the come to mind first. I'm not a fan of the Magpul hand guards personally, it's just up to you what you are looking for. Check sites like Brownell's or Opsgear or some other site that sells AR parts to find different companies.

Try Amazon I was just looking at FDE furniture over there. I do a lot of my shopping for gun related items at Amazon. I get free shipping on almost anything and I can use my AM EX points to boot.

Amazon has plenty of Magpul furniture in stock.
I'm looking for a good red dot sight and flashlight/laser combo unit on there. Anyone have a suggestion? To be clear I want a red dot sight and separate light/laser unit.

I think the best red dot is the Aimpoint, but others will argue for EoTech.

Primary Arms
You can get the 3X magnifier for $69. It's not an aimpoint but unless you plan on getting shot out of a submarine tube you should be okay.
I have the Gen Comp4 clone and I am very happy with it. These guys get great review on AR15.com
