That's what I sell it for to the guys I work with. Bunch of IT couch warriors they are. They flip out when I bring in .22 too, it's usually gone before I can finish my morning cup of coffee.

Is it worth showing up on a Friday morning at Academy to look for ammo? Or does everything come on Tues & Thurs?

haha im being for real on the 223.. the 22lr is another story.. i have several thousand rounds. but i just got an ar at the beginning of year and have never even shot it! i just got a scope and want to be able to play some. i hadnt been able to hit on any 223 deals the past couple weeks.

I've scored a 525 brick of .22 on a Tuesday, Friday, and a Thursday. I'm not so sure they aren't just holding some back and putting it out at random times. I've walked in a couple of times at 6:30 at night on the way home and seen them loaded down with .223. I've seen 9mm every morning I've been there it seems.

I don't know about the Academy's out your way but the ones here usually get trucks in on Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri mornings. Can usually see truck at loading dock when I drive up.

Local Academy is selling for $9.99 / 20 rounds when they have it in stock.
LGS was selling same ammo for $15 / 20 rounds.
