I just watched an under cork video to get ready. That guy makes me so jealous. He catches them in the middle of the coves. I have never found them like that.

Duck hunting has sucked except for the 12 degree Friday. Smoked em but that hunt was one of the coldest I have ever been on. Wind chill was around 5.

I just got water with the recent big rains. I haven't hunted my hole yet mainly because I'm not seeing near the wood ducks I typically see moving between the lakes or stopping on me from my deer stand.

Anyway, you need to come fish Toledo with me this spring. I bought a bigger and newer bass boat last year.

Of course.

I went from a 17'1" with a Merc 115 to a 20'3" with a merc 225 that is three years newer.

I just re-listed the smaller one on marketplace with fishing season coming up.

That's funny, as another of our posters did a similar thing last year with a 206. Got the bigger one used and did some refinishing and gutting with new wiring, TM and electronics. Haven't been out in it yet, but looking forward to it.

That was one of the selling points to me on the one I just bought. It was all original with roached out graphs, and original trolling motor. That kept the price lower and I get to pick all my upgrades going forward.

The 171 is a great little boat. It rides good, has new carpet and seats, etc. My son is trying to get me to hold on to it since I have the storage in an enclosed barn for both. But that 203 is cadillac the way it rides. I don't see a need to keep the smaller one except to let my son learn on as he gets older so he doesn't tear mine up.

The HolyToledo is good, but go to Martins Corner in Milan and get the Martin Burger! One of the best you’ll ever eat.

You should give you good new found friend a chance to buy that boat. Wink wink.

Just kidding I just bought my 191 back from my nephew. I was the first owner.

Really tempted to sell mine to buy that one. My first champion was that size and I really liked it.

Today was THAT day. We smashed them in 20-24’ on an Arig and Carolina rig. Caught 50+ and had well over 20lbs. Probably caught 20 fish over 3lbs.

How deep do you run an A-rig in those depths?

Let it hit the bottom and slow roll it. Throw it on 65lb braid so you can straighten the hooks when you hang it up.

Man I have issues throwing an A rig. probably on 50% of the casts the hooks get tangled in the line on a cast. I try to make shorter casts which helps, but I'd prefer more distance.
