Summer 2017 ATV/UTV Guide (Haines, AK)

quote:

ATV GUIDE & CDL DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION TOUR DESCRIPTION: Drive ATVs into the Alaskan wilderness. Scenic mountain and river views with wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Your knowledgeable guide will meet you at the dock in Haines. A scenic 26-mile drive along the National Scenic Byway and through the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve brings you to our remote staging area. At the staging area, you'll receive an orientation and safety briefing on our ATVs from your guides. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 21 years old and bring a valid driver's license. There are a combination of 2-person and 4-person machines to accommodate varying group sizes and families. There are several spots along the tour where we can swap drivers to give everyone some time at the wheel. The ATVs are automatic transmission and drive similar to a car for ease of operation. These high performance ATVs are fun to drive and a great way to explore the Alaska wilderness. Over the next 15 miles of gravel road, your guide will lead you through a series of remote areas, and we'll explore the wilds of Alaska! As we drive along beaver ponds and mountain meadows we may spot swans, salmon, eagles, bears or moose along the way. We'll cross over Little Salmon creek and ascend to a series of viewpoints overlooking the Klehini, Tsirku and Chilkat River Valleys. From our high point, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch while we bask in the surrounding mountain views. After lunch, we'll descend the mountain and make our way back to our private staging area before returning by bus back to Haines.

Lots of fun stuff. Might be something you'd enjoy before working in your field.

I up voted OP again. Wish I was in his area. I've been told is be good in sales. I'll debate with the best of them and have written speeding tickets for 10 years and been hugged afterwards more than I've been cussed. I can charm the scales off a snake. Would love to have a job that pays the bills where I'm out and can be a friendly face. Hell, I'd cut grass with scissors if it payed my bills right about now. I'm so sick of dirty politics and dealing with shitty people

If anyone is looking for an experienced project engineer/project manager, let me know

I prefer project engineering on the engineering side, but I'll do whatever. I've been at the big building on Essen and on jobsites.

North or south of the interstate? I heard the peeps on the north side of I10 are getting bought out and should be done by June.

Both

And I know the north side just sold off it's federal services division. That company never had a real interest in BR.
