Update as of this morning:

Mrs Wales called as she was taking the kids to school this morning. They are all stir crazy as they've been out for the last three days. The kids told me about today's scheduled "Kick-Off" festivities for the Jump a Thon. Jake told me several LSU players would be there today, as this formally starts the fund raising drive. He said Landry, Reed, and Bob Mettenberger would be there and was excited. He knows it is Zach, but Zach looks like a Bob, so Jake calls him Bob.

She called me back after she dropped them off and told me the coaches stopped her as she pulled in after we got off the phone and couldn't believe the funds that these two kids have raised and couldn't have been more appreciative. She told them that she didn't do much at all, as it was all thanks to the Outdoor Board that her husband was part of that has done this. She proceeded to tell them the story of these last few months and what the kids have dealt with and how everyone here has helped them beyond comprehension. Several tears were shed, I was told and I'm shedding a few typing this.

Mrs Wales asked me to relay the appreciation to each and every one of you. Everyone at the school is going to know who the top donors are and those two kids are having a ball with this!!
