For anyone that does not know, I am an property adjuster. I don't really mess with flood, but I know enough if you have questions.

We're on S Harrells Ferry near entrance to White Oak. It looks like a lake. Most houses have water. We would have made it with the Amite cresting at 44 ft at DS. But 46 ft means almost 2 ft waterin the house.

Lots of national guard earlier rescuing folks by boat and military trucks. The hardest part to imagine is the current flowing through the yards and street. Very dangerous, even in a small boat.

Seems like I heard after midnight but I have no idea if the person knew what they were talking about. We left this afternoon when I saw how fast it was moving east on 22, and now we're hearing it is getting close to our subdivision.

Thanks. Hopefully it's almost crested and the water to the south has time to drain before this reaches there. Who would think the Amite would break flood record by 4.5 ft?

should be soon. It was coming up quick behind my house earlier. We picked as much up as we could and got out of there. My neighbors stayed and said that it hasn't come up much in the last few hours.
