Smoked the pompano, also caught about 7 sharks.

Went on a 4 hour yesterday afternoon in St Joe Bay. Caught about 25 trout and one flounder. Bunch of small ones and 4 over slot, can only keep one. Biggest was 27" and 6.5 lbs. All artificial.

We pretty much pissed off everyone on the beach that was fishing. No one around us caught anything but sharks and catfish. They kept coming over and asking what we were using/doing.

Couple of bonus ground mullet at the top right?

Pompano are probably my favorite fish.

Firm and great flavor.

Top right, would be what's considered whiting.

they look exactly like ground mullet but they're lighter in color and in the surf.

I don't know if there is an actual difference is though.

What part of the cape were you on?

I fish the bay several times a year. The trout bite there is impressive.

And shhhh. We’re trying to keep this place a secret.

Secret is out! I've never seen it this busy down here.

We're right by the trading post. Stayed at ovation last year and liked it more since we had bay access and gulf access.

Both are fantastic. If you are frying fish, I would put ground mullet and Crappie at the top.

Ovation is where we stay. Our friends built in there. I keep my boat in the bay all week and golf cart to the beach in between fishing trips.

It’s a piece of heaven on earth!

Updated OP on our inshore trip.

Wouldn't happen to be a camo surface drive? If so we were there at the same time last year.
