Generally, a king snake is not going to just hang around and massage your feet. They are totally harmless, but they are usually not very cuddly.

thanks for killing me, seriously. You moved him with the most favored snake killing weapon ever invented.

I have told this story before but my parents used to have a big speckled king snake hanging around their house that you could pick up and carry around. Always had to move him when mowing the yard.

Neighbor came over one day and before we could stop him he hit it with a thrown piece of firewood. Didn't kill snake immediately and the snake got away when we stopped the neighbor but we never saw him again.

I stepped on one to the left of 7 green. It was too short to reach back and bite my ankle. Almost had to quit playing.

I've found them to be around 50-50. We caught quite a few when we were kids - some you could handle freely, some were finicky. Many snakes are very defensive initially, but if you pick them up properly and handle them gently, they settle down real quickly.

The snake is fine. Lil mud and my nephew found it and we were playing with him. And yes, we do eat a rattlesnake if their big enough. Damn fine meat if prepared correctly.

Very cool. Salt and pepper king snakes are good snakes. Had one as a pet growing up. I would feed it garden snakes.

You don't want me to post that pic again. Seriously, if I saw it, and it wasn't my foot, I would have told the owner to go see a doctor.
