How many felonies don’t receive jail time?

I would assume assaulting an officer would result in jail.

Another problem I have it that there are way too many criminals that don’t go to jail due to shite judges.

Why should jail time take away only 1 right but you get to keep all the other rights?

BS. Once after 10 years as a civilian they can.

Appealing to Regain Carry Rights

It’s going to be next to impossible. Even if he gets a pardon or expungement that won’t get him out of the federal NICS database. He will get a denial anytime he goes to purchase using an FFL.

Same thing applies. Get the CCP and bypass NICS then you can possess and buy firearms.

You still have to fill out a 4473. One of the questions is have you ever been convicted of a felony. If you put no and you have guess what you just committed another felony under federal law.

No. You can buy from an individual if you are worried about it.

Still technically some real messy grey area there. If you are selling as an individual, you aren't required to do a background check, but you can't knowingly sell to a felon. I actually don't know exactly how that law applies to the buyer being a felon and keeping that information secret. Sure, the loophole there is huge, but technically not kosher.

You either want to protect yourself or not. If you aren't in prison you should be able to own a firearm. If you are a liability then you stay locked up.

That's called being a felon and possessing a gun as a felon which is another felony.

Gun laws don't work.

I have no advice for you, but I hope he gets his rights back. “Shall not be infringed” is pretty clear on its intention.

Felon disenfranchisement is damn near as old as the constitution my dude. If the founding fathers had issues with it, it would've been addressed in the 1790s.
