I love how the ad is all about killing vermin and how you can use it to take control of your property....

Then post a night pic of a massive arse buck next to a day pic of an Elk

Man I came to the board to make this EXACT thread. I’ve gotten a permit to help a friend (private landowner) do something nighttime varminting on a couple of his farms. I’m not interested in any $3k bullshite, just some recs for lights to use to help our cause this winter. Small predators, no hogs.

Contrary to what the ad says, you are not seeing out to 400 with it.

It'll work out as far as the green "illuminator" (flashlight) will work.

That looks ridiculous. You can get descent digital night vision at Academy in the ATN or sightmark Photon. Yeah it’s $400, but at least you will legitimately be able to use it at night out to 100 yards or so without pissing away $140 and hours of your time fiddling with that useless contraption. The giant screen alone should tell you all you need to know, you're not shooting anything at night with that thing lit up.

Dont do it. Coyotes will see that screen light. Will be a waste of money. As the poster above said get a sightmark photon.

Firefield NVRS 3x42 Gen 1 Night Vision Riflescope

This is pretty cheap and a pretty great scope. Ive been using it to hunt pigs at night for 2 years and love it.
