Neighbor has one just like the OP only silver and my brother just got a Platinum.

They are great trucks and the new ones ride so much better than my 2011 did. Not even close.

And the back seat is huge. Biggest in the sector if I'm not mistaken.

What's the deal with Toyota not offering a rear locking diff on the Tundras?

Not saying it's absolutely necessary, but it is a nice option. I've been to some boat ramps that are majorly affected by low tide and get a little slimy. Just some piece of mind I guess.

As to why, I have no idea. They have what they call an LSD, but it's not really limited slip. I think all true limited slip should be something t all trucks should have. Biggest thing I launched with my old truck was a 24 Bay Champ. Tires would spin sometimes, but it was 2wd. I wouldn't imagine I'll have any slip launching in 4wd.

Yeah, I read that. But I'm a little nervous about doing it. Has anyone here done it?

And what is everyone's opinion on car washes? Plantation has unlimited washes for a reasonable price. But there seems to be a lot of people saying that soft touch car washes will leave swirls and that it stands out on black. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

It isn't that hard at all. Just like taking off a sticker. If you are worried about it, call a body/paint shop. It should only take them 15 minutes

Drive-through car washes will give you swirls. No doubt about that. Wash by hand if you don't want them

You'll regret not getting that 6.2. It's a beast. The tundra will last you a long time though. I've never been a big fan of their looks, but they are a well made vehicle.

Yeah yeah yeah, car washes and floor mats. If we all had dirty trucks with mud in the carpet, how would you feel cool?

Yeah, I know I would have enjoyed the 6.2. But I didn't like the interior and I don't like the cylinder deactivation. And the tundra is so reliable, I couldn't make myself go with anything else.

I don't get the washing of the vehicle obsession.

Whatever makes you sleep at night. It's raining on my truck right now. That'll knock the dust off and save me 2 hours of cleaning. Thanks rain.

And this won't last forever, but it's brand new and if like it to look good for a little while.

Welcome to the club again.

Those aren't really running boards, they are nerf bars. Why you don't like them? You gonna get a running start and jump into your truck?

I just think they are too big and bulky. It's not really high enough to need them. My last one had N-Fabs. I like those a lot more.
