That's why I went with the Canyon. The Colorado is too pointy on the front end. Canyon looks a lot better.

Bumping because I am now looking at the colorado and the canyon..

Seeing if everyone is still pleased with their purchases.

So far I'm reading the Colorado is scoring better, but the look and style of the Canyon is giving it an edge.

And I've already test drove a tacoma but my legs are too long for that truck.

TIA

I am going to be in the market soon. Have been looking. The one thing I can't get over is the price. I can get a base 4 door F150 with a V8 for the same price as a mid size, fully loaded. Guess it comes down to maintenance and gas mileage.

I've got almost 5k miles on my Canyon all terrain. I have the gas engine. I have been very happy with it.

The only problem I've had is rattling from the passenger door from the speaker. Apparently it is a problem with the bose stereo (which kicks pretty hard).

This. I've been very intrigued by the colorados and canyons, especially with a diesel.

Is the ride as good as a full size truck? the only smaller trucks ive had (ranger, tacoma) rode like crap because they didnt weigh enough.

I hear they're selling a 2" mule ear chrome stack and a mini set of truck nuts for the diesel canyons.

Well that justifies 39k for a midsize truck.

I can't get over how much trucks are these days. i may keep my '09 until the 2030 models come out.

Awesome looking truck. Congrats

I just traded my V-6 Z-71 Colorado at the end of Dec. Loved the truck, but never quite got the gas mileage I thought it would get in town, not that it was bad. (@19.5 - 20MPG)
If I hadn't have gotten such a really sweet deal on a 17' Silverado LTZ I would still have it. But I hit them up on the last week of the month/year, got one of the red tag specials and walked away paying $40,200 OTD. Leather, pearl white, 20" rims, 4WD, loaded.
Kinda like the Mafia, they gave me a deal I couldn't refuse.

I'm hoping to buy one of these in the next few weeks. I can't wait to drive it to see what it does.

I'll be glad when I don't have to pull a 5er and I can get a smaller truck.

Just sold the camper. Do not need a 1/2 ton truck.

Just wondering if this is something I should look at. Still want a truck for various reasons, but even a 1/2 ton seems huge to me.

Turns out I can get out of my '15 Sierra with 17,000 miles and into a '17 Canyon with 3,000 miles for $1,500. SLT vs SLE, so I lose leather and maybe some other conveniences. Damn that Canyon can turn sharp.

Somewhat worried about stacking a bunch of yaks in that short bed though.

my neighbor has a canyon and installed one of those removable/collapsible ladder racks for his yaks. Honestly it looks pretty cool when it is upright with his yaks strapped down on it.
