This was the most interesting thing I saw at the boat show
LINK
Evinrude G2 motor. Mostly because of the steering and mounting changes. The motor looks good but it comes with some kind of new hydraulic steering and tilt and trim that interests me.

I have a 2005 NS 2200 Bay.
No real issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
I went to the show, Aqua Marine was repping NS at the show.
The 231 Angler is interesting looking. Where do you plan enjoy it mostly?

Need something that I can fish out of by Lake P., Rigolets, etc,
Also something that the baby can take out and have fun with her friends.
I have had a real good relationship with Nunnmakers over the years. They are fine quality folks. They are selling boats by a brand new company called Cravelle and they are some sharp-looking boats.
Grass, your Dad will be in my prayers. That was a good thread I believe, with some good info.

Thanks...
Yes, I saw those boats also. Just glanced, but they looked nice.
I'm stuck on a Ranger right now, but subject to change any second. If I buy anything, it will be used. I just can't stomach the depreciation AND the sales tax.
Thanks again for the prayers. I see a tough time period coming on.

Go to the Gulf Coast Boat Show if you are seriously looking at buying a bass boat or bay boat. They will have 80 different brands and over 800 boats

I'm really interested to see how these play out in the market and in terms of reliability. Once you get past the unorthodox look of the motors, I think they're going to be pretty damned awesome. The integrated hydraulic steering would be a major selling point for me.

Evinrude is providing free G2 motor demos at the Gulf Coast Yacht Show along with 777 demos

I've read some great reviews on their performance. But I really wish they did not look so goofy.

Loaded all the way up, about $77K.
They have thought of every little (and big) thing.
