Bayou Beast duck calls Got one for this year and really like it so far.
Are these calls like a j-frame/Arkie-style call or a La-style with 4-piece insert, i.e. like a Haydel/Faulks? thx.

Negative. A cut-down Olt is the greatest call ever touched by human hands.

Very nice man. I have his Bayou Bengal call (Purple & Gold). One of my favorites.

As I understand he doesn't make these very often anymore. His acrylic double reed is the call I wish I'd bought when he first started in the business.

My favorite call is a cocabola single reed made by Joe McMillen with Grand Cypress Calls. Not even sure if he's still in business. If so, I'd buy another just to have two. Love that call for both low end, hail calls and everything in between.

Always go back to my Echo’s.

Bought a Lares this yr for the first time. It’s ok, but I still prefer my XLT. RNT’s always seemed to be a little more inconsistent for me.

Less calling was better for us this past weekend. Usually is the case.

For mallards, you can't go wrong with a Haydel's DR-85

Haydel VTM-90. Wouldn't trade it for a $300 R&T!
