Bridgestone Dueler Revos. They last forever, quiet on road, so-so offroad, and have a decent rugged appearance.

That said, my next tire will probably be the BFG a/t or the Nitto terra grappler.

The cooper discoverer ST is also an excellent all terrain type tire. They are very popular with contractors. I've also heard good thing about goodyear duratracs, but I don't have any experience with them.

I went back & forth for months trying to decide. Came down to the Cooper Zenon LTZ or the Nitto Terra Grappler. Ended up with the Nitto just because they had the size I wanted in stock. Good tire but will likely go with the Coopers for my next set!

I would consider the Mastercraft AT2's. Mastercraft is a private brand made by Cooper. You can easily get the 50k they are rated for out of them.

Glad you said Goodyear. STAY AWAY FROM GOODYEAR LONG TRAIL. Softest tire I've ever seen. I blew 3 within six months. I didnt buy them, they were on the truck when I bought it.

Toyo open country, long lasting all terrain tire minimal road noise. Competitive prices with all the other big names. PS I am a mechanic. No longer change tires but have good knowledge of them.

speaking of tires...

you guys think if i bring my gently used tires (2000 miles) into a discount tire or firestone - and buy a new set from them - they'll give me anything for them?

I used to buy used tires for my boat trailer when I had a bigger boat. Gordon and Sandifer would sell them to me and mount them on my rims for next to nothing, and since trailer tires always dry rot before the treads wear out, it was perfect.
