Property has 9 ponds various sizes with gently sloping banks perfect for doves. Fields long separated by tree lined creeks. Do we plant milo, sunflower, corn or combo? Pretend you have open checkbook and it will be planted solely for doves, nothing will be harvested.

the best dove hunt I've ever been on was in Texas over Milo. I don't see a reason to plant anything else.

Milo and sunflowers. With some millet mixed in. We do it every year.

Yep. Good people.

ST when you come look at that material I will show you where we plant what. Sounds like your piece of property is very similar.

dump sand on eges of ponds.

plant sunflower, sorghum and millet in alternating patterns

cut nearly all standing grain just prior to hunting...

burn some......

and BAIT ALL THROUGH SUMMER...

PUT OUT BAIT INDICATORS(if ya don't know what that is.. I am dissappointed)....

All of the suggestions above are legit with the exception of corn and baiting. Doves will eat corn, but they'll go to millet, milo, sunflowers, and sorghum as long as it's available over corn.

The baiting is touch and go, and if it's done/planted right there is no need to bait. Don't risk it...
