Bilstien 5100. I have them on my lifted Chevy 1500 and they work great. All the other white tube hydro shocks are ab the same. My second choice would be Rancho nitro adjustable shock.

Pro-Comp MX-6. They are 6 way fully adjustable and ride pretty damn good.

Bilstein are hard to beat, but you'll pay for them. Still compared to the cost of other components, it's a good deal.

this is what I have on my truck. They are great shocks for the money. they are a great selection before you get into the higher end stuff with remote reservoirs and such.

Skyjacker and Superlift are Louisiana companies. But I'm sure you already knew that.

I ran rancho RS5000's for a while on my old truck and I didn't like them a whole lot. My truck had superlift superides on it since 94 and I just changed them out this year with pro comp gas shocks. They ride better, but the superlifts lasted a long time.

you get what you pay for. Like i said all the hydro shocks are about the same i had the BDS hydro shocks and they were ok, but did not last long. I put the Bilstein 5100 on and it improved the ride and handling a great deal. If i had to chose from that list i would pick the skyjacker nitro/hydro or the super lift.

ok. But what do you mean "didnt last long" What is long? This is just a play toy that will be driven around on the weekends with minor offroading.

also someone gave me these leaf springs. How can i tell how big of lift they are? I think i need to know this to see if i need brake line extensions.

Put em on and see if the lines are short

I have no idea how you measure leaf springs.

well yea that is the hard way.... it would suck to put them on then have to wait for new lines to come in... or could these be found at a local store?

Should be able to find them at any of the 4x4 shops in BR.

BR has 4x4 shops? Kirks is the only place i can think of.

I just hate most local places that charge an arm and a leg for small shite like this when you can get it way cheaper online.

The Pro-comp branded stuff is rebadged Rancho's for the most part. IMO good parts for a good price. I bought the last set I had from 4wheelparts.com

are you trying to figure out how much axle droop your going to have with the new springs or if the lift is going to be too much for your brake lines?

If its close with your stock lines, you can run a limiting strap on the axle so they dont get over extended as a temp fix while you wait on new lines.
