I would be very surprised if one of the mentioned shops doesn't have extended brake lines for a CJ.

well i have read that a 2.5" lift doesnt need loger breaklines and a 4" does, then i read that they arent needed on a 4" lift.... i just want to know yes or no because im unsure how large the lift is on these springs.

Call one of the shops I mentioned and I'm sure they will be able to give you some good info.

How about you just compare the new springs with the current ones and figure out the size that way???

the new ones are off the jeep depressed and the old ones are on the jeep compressed.

i think the new ones will feel a lot better once i put them on.

If you're putting the new ones on regardless, measure them when you get them off the jeep and have them side by side.

The brake lines shouldnt be a problem with a few inches of lift. Not sure about the CJs, but I have a little over 3" on my Grand Cherokee and the brake lines have PLENTY of slack.

What I mean didn't last long is that they wore out quickly with in 20,000 miles. If your driving in Baton Rouge you could almost consider it off roading with all the pot holes lol. Main thing I would stay away from is rancho unless your getting the adjustable ones.

So it really wouldnt be much of a problem if it took me 10 years to go 20k in this thing.

Both are great. I plan to have Phil at Searchers build a custom cage for my CJ7 this coming week. I love that place.

Yeah, there are quite a few. Seems every time I go to the Home Depot I bump into somebody with one and we end up talking mods and such for an hour or more.

My wife hates that.

Not really. I looked into shocks about a year ago and was going to go with the Bilsteins, but I run 31's and the only lift I have is a 1" body lift. As for the brake lines, I believe it's a fairly well established general rule that you should get extensions on the brake lines if you lift 4" or more. Then again, the last thing you want to fail is a brake line. A lot of old CJs have been in enough slop over the past 25 or more years that the brake lines could probably use a bit of work anyway.
