This stuff is growing right behind the house, I did not plant it. Every evening, with a good 30 minutes of daylight left, two deer come way out in the open to munch on it. It must be good stuff. If you all can ID it for me I will certainly plant some more next year. Thanks for any help

looks like wild lettuce/prickley lettuce. Deer round these parts will nibble on anything new and green.

maybe this will help.

wild lettuce was my first guess... you sure they aren't eating that rye grass?

Thanks for the reply. Pretty sure, I can see where they have nipped it. Also I have a rye grass food plot about 50 yards from there. They hit this stuff first , then mosey out to the rye grass

There's an app for that.

I use Plant Snap.

Try PlantSnap, but its dock, and they'll pretty much leave it alone when there's no new tender growth. Not something I'd plant.

With that said, deer have personal tastes and sometimes its funny what they'll get on and not leave.

Definitely Curly Dock. The deer here where I hunt in Southwest Mississippi absolutely love it!

I've never seen anything eat it.
