All kayak demos should be done at PAC in that current. Lol

About 100 yards out of the launch was where I decided the FD wasn't for me

I'd forgot you had one for a while.

Almost identical to my experience, was trying to go through the shrimp nets with a little current and it was like I'd hit a wall. My buddy in his Outback pulled up next to me asking what was wrong and couldn't believe I couldn't make anymore progress, then blazed right through. I made up my mind right there to not buy one, and up until that point I was seriously interested.

I'm just glad there's interest again. The Kayak thread died for some reason.

This summer was pure dog shite!
All that rain in June and July and then the hurricane
I’m just ready for some fall fishing in that cool weather, staked up in a deep hole drinking beer and pulling up trout!

I did hit West Cove Sunday found a couple reds and some nice flounder

I admit it’s tougher to go through that current in a peddle yak over a mirage drive. Now when I fished Lake Seminole last year I wouldn’t fish it in a mirage drive due to one thing the stumps unless I had kick up fins. Saw more guys destroy their fins that tournament. Most had backup fins which is smart. There’s always pros and cons depending on where you fish. I haven’t caught a flounder in over a year. I forgot what they look like.

Been a good year for flounder all over. I wonder what the difference is this year vs the previous couple years?

I've seen flounder being caught in Delacroix which has been rare for a while. I've seen some good catches all around Lake Borgne as well. Pretty dang good year for it compared to the past handful.
