That is going to be nice!
I cannot wait to move out of my current house. My next house will have an outdoor kitchen or something like you are building, only it won't be in the basement
But definitely a space to cook/drink/entertain/watch sports other than the primary kitchen/living room.

That will be phase 2 of this project. Right outside of the basement is a 14x12 covered area where the grill, smoker, fire pit, and table are.
I'm going to build about 15 linear feet of cabinets with the grill and smoker in them, a bigger table, and some adirondack chairs for the fire pit. TV on the wall and it's all done.

Thats really nice man, love the feel of the exposed ceiling.

What are you going to do where the sheet rock meets the above floor supports?

Nothing, just leave it as is.

Gottcha. So what is outside of this finished area? just an unfinished basement? I'm just curious as to what the top is being open to? Like theres no worry about bugs or pests getting from the outside of this finished area to the inside?

Looks nice. Did you spray the ceilings? I'm going to be in the home renovation game again next year. Haven't decided if I'm closing in a playroom for a bedroom first, or finishing out basement space for a kids playroom first. I'm thinking go basement first so they don't lose space to play and I'll want to paint the ceilings as well, and they are exposed beam like yours.

Working on an old Wagoneer, won't be done for a few years, but I'am not in any rush. I took it completely apart over the summer to do some rust repair. This is not a show car, just trying to get it back on the road as something presentable. I do not do this for a living, If I tried, I would be even more broke than I already am! A few pics.

Frame sanded and repainted.

Taped up to spray under coating.

Back on the frame, but a long way to go. This is where I'am at now.

I have always loved those. Good work.

It's completely closed in, either by exterior walls or a wall separating it and the garage. I'll get some more pics tonight.
For the ceiling I rented a Graco sprayer from home Depot, went easy once I figured it out. You will go through some paint. This is 600 sq ft and I used 10 gallons. Do yourself a favor and buy the $45 extension so you can spray it from the ground.
