That's the one.
And I felt bad shelling out $195 for it... LOL..
Now feeling like I hit the Lotto!

Built this for the camp a couple months ago.
old cypress, sanded and epoxies. Installed purple LEDs in the letters and mounted them to where they stand an inch off of the wood and wired through the back.

Has anybody built something in remembrance of Mike VI?

Thanks. Next will hopefully a a full length front porch at the camp. For that I have a 12'x3'x4" slab of cypress I'm going to make a bar top out of.

Recently rebuilt my patio extension. Had some rot in my soffit/fascia so I decided to do it all at once. I also built the firepit.
Here's another view from my back door looking out.
I also built the shed in the back right of the 2nd pic a couple of years ago.

Building and racing whitewater canoes has been a passion taken to the somewhat extreme:
White blemish is delamination from bouncing off rock.... shite happens... it's in the equation.
Only purchased parts were the foot braces.
All these boats (gold, black, and bottom two-three) started life as cedar board ripped down and turned into strip canoe, then paddled in wood strippers, next to fiberglass molds, and finally to composite carbon, kevlar, and s-glass canoes.
The above boat is the one I didn't design, but built from a friends mold, and the one below is what happens to a couple of the above old beaters, cut in half and rearranged bow on bow.
And no not an advertisement or in the canoe building business, these were just to get something hotter than you could buy.

Knocked out some floating shelves for the wife. The honeydoo list grows with each day of maternity leave.

Been taking it easy, so I wanted to build a door for the camp. I like it so much, I will be doing two more. They will be for the two bedrooms and the bath room. This door along with the other two are from some of the first boards I sawed with my sawmill.
Just knew I had a special place for those boards.
I did the nickel gap to match the wainscoting. Going to be nice with my other plans in the future.

Finally finished the wing n got it hung in the cave. Needless to say a ridiculous amount of touch up painting now needs to be done to the wall, along with a visit or three to church to ask forgiveness of the things that came out of my mouth while hanging that beyotch. LOL

Nice pond Jones.
I had one at one time, but had to do away with it due to my dogs and dam coons fishing out of it.
Thanks guys on the door. That is oak. Heavy SOB and will take 4 hinges to hang.
Door cost me $13 to build. That was for glue.

Thanks. I've caught about 6 or 7 coons. They have put a hurting on the pond over the years though

Wait until you find an eel when cleaning out the sediment in that thing. It's always a fun surprise

Been thinking of building a bed frame and headboard. Need recommendation on best type of wood (will likely stain it) and best supplier in BR area. Also, is veneer a PITA?
