Being so wet and feeling good, I started build a bathroom vanity out of lumber that I sawed up on my sawmill last spring.
This is some water oak and after drying about 9 months, it's good to go. These are the boards after air drying.
Stickered and stacked, the top few rows had a little cup in the boards. No problem, ripped them on the table saw to 2 1/4" and some at 6".
Once ripped, I sent them thru my planner.Just a few boards.
After that, I started cutting things up and hope to get it all put together tomorrow.
All will be white washed, not stained. The counter top will be live edge pine and the bowl will sit somewhat down in it. As I finish it, I will post some pictures.
Oh, I sawed a shite load of this and a bunch will be used thru the camp.

Nicely done fish and glad you're feeling well.

Yep, nice to take a tree down off your place, saw it up, sit on it for some time and the ending product comes out nice.
I have some sweet other lumber that I sawed up. Black willow is one. Always though it was a trash tree till I saw some sawed up for planking. Looks like walnut.

I never knew Water Oak was so nice.... Real nice grain to it.

If I would of quarter saw it, it would have that look of red oak - the darker color. I have some red oak that is sweet, but not ready. Needs a couple more months air drying.
The camp/guess house I'm building, I had sawed up 90% of the lumber that is in it. Most of it is pine, but the timbers are red oak.
Here is a picture of Black Willow, known as just willow in my parts of the world. Cheap man's walnut.

Looking good fish.
it takes a true handy man to take a seedling and make furniture.
Dont know that i've ever seen willow sliced up, looks great. Any plans with that once it dries?

That's a solid rack Tbooux. Wish something like that wouldn't take up my entire shop

Lol, after I put it together I realized I may have been a little overzealous in making it 4'x8', I have a 40'x60' shop and this thing takes up a good chunk of floor space. lol
may end up building a bunch of wall shelves and cutting her in half.

My shop is 10 x 15. With it that small, everything has to be on wheels, so you can move stuff out the way.

Here's a pic. I'm currently building another built-in book shelf for someone, so my miter saw table is pulled out from the wall so I can slide the saw. Everything except the workbench on the rear wall is on wheels so if I need more room doing something I can move it. When I need the table saw to rip something, I roll it outside to make the cuts.
If it was twice as big it would be perfect for my needs, but for right now it's better than nothing.

Still a pretty nice setup if you organize everything right. Some people, me currently, don't have any space at all. How's that harbor freight miter?

Yeah that's a pretty nice setup man. My biggest thing is, more storage. If i could move the wheelbarrow, fertilizer, and various crap out of my garage, it would be fine.
I need at least a storage building, but my hood says it has to be brick. So, i might as well wait and build a shop.
