You're better off just building new night stands and dresser than trying to match those.

Finished my dining table, now just trying to find a buyer so I can get it out of my garage.
Since posting it to Facebook, I have gotten a couple other 'jobs' though.

This is what I was afraid of. Oh well I'll pull a nightstand down there and give it a shot to see how it turns out. I've got our bedroom set that is stained and clear coated and another that is painted white to redo.

To remove the poly use a good stiff putty knife and a heat gun. Poly comes right off, you could use a stripper but then you still have to scrape and its messy, not to mention that stripper burns the piss out of your skin.
ETA, you will have to sand your arse off to remove all the stain. I would just remove the poly, light sand and try a couple stains till you get close.

Sport, table looks great.
If those are all pine 2X, it must weigh a ton?

Thank you! I'm very proud of it. It's probably my most complicated build yet. I definitely learned a lot in the process.

That's awesome! Did you wing it or base it off of plans?

I started off using an idea from Anna white but after all the changes I made it was a completely different piece. I've never been one to follow plans.

Last big build I was involved in. That wet, rough cut cypress was a heavy bitch

Made this little shelf from an old wagon. Haven't decided where I'm going to hang it yet. I may sell it.

Thanks but not my idea. I got it from an article Jay Bates puts out weekly called "Interesting Things From Around The Web".
