could see it being around 145. Not enough brow tine length to push into the 150s in my opinion. Looks like it has good mass. Does have a very long right beam (photo-left side). Hard to tell from angle but doesn't appear to have enough spread. Ought to be pushing 25" to 26" to get in upper 150s on top of everything else being right.

Wish the guy had his fingers on the bases holding the deer upright more. Give it some scale. His hands are folded 2 feet or so behind antlers.

Still a great deer.

130-140 class deer. We kill half a dozen or more like it every year in our camp from same area

130 will be a hell of a lot closer than 158 , and yes it is really nothing special, not sure if the hype is because he is the next great LSU qb or just folks who are clueless.

To even be close to a 160 class buck the beams would need to extend past the ears at least 3 more inches on each side and MUCH more mass would be needed, just very tough for an 8 point to get there.

No clue if this is true or not but I grew up and still hunt in the Northwest corner of Adams county and tall racked 18 inch wide 8 points are plentifull in my area, no clue where he shot this one.

Look at the tines, and look at the mass at the base of the brows. That deer gives me no reason to believe he is lying
. No doubt. I killed basically a 6 point 2 yrs ago, he was a 7 but barely, that was low 130's and op deer is way more buck.

edit, re-measure, ground shrinkage, closer to 115. I still say op buck high 140's low 150s based on my deer.

I think we are seeing some very generous unofficial scoring in this thread.

I would love to see pictures of a 130 class 6 point that was officially scored, it must have been massive.

Just for refrence the below width and beam length is what it takes to get close to 160 with an 8 point
