Introducing Miss Skeet (pronounced like the mesquite tree), aka "Skeeter"...
Half sister(same dam) to my hunting partners male puppy T from last year.
T with a fresh hair cut.
Grand father of both dogs CH Erin's Wild Atlantic Way.
The bolded part basically means he was awarded the 2023-24 top English Setter of all ages in field trials.

Thank you.
I'm lucky enough to have connections to a ranch in North TX that still has wild Bob White quail. I go with them a few times a year. I also hunt woodcock locally around Shreveport on some WMA's and in the CENLA area around Kisatchi, Clear Creek WMA, Fort Polk as well as, some private property I own. Duck hunting has dried up on me the last few years, and I'm not as mad at the ducks as I used to be. I really enjoy watching a bird dog work whether we kill anything or not. I guess I'm getting older.
For the most part, I've raised puppies for my hunting partners the last 3 years in a row. Having children play with a puppy socializes them and makes them better hunting partners as they mature. After "test driving" the breed, I decided to take the leap and get one of my own to be a family/hunting dog. They are sweet dogs that want to please.

That’s amazing. I wish I did the type of hunting that required that type of dog. It’s awesome watching them work.

It gets cold in North TX...
T last year as a 8 month old puppy with the check chord on the right, and his older half sister Nix who is owned by the breeder. He hunts with us too.
NWLA WMA... There was a woodcock sitting on that thicket line.
Thicket in Kisatchi...
The red and white is Star. She was the first puppy I raised for the group. She came from a breeder in Kansas and is 4 years old.

Awesome. Wish I could give extra karma.

Beautiful dog, congrats.
Absolutely. One of my most cherished memories is bird hunting when I was growing up. My brother had some damn fine bird dogs and one of his best was a Luellen setter that was truly a beauty and could hunt all day without slowing down.
