yeah, I filmed him kill it. He missed the first shot, we were just sitting there, and the same deer walked back in, not knowing what happened. Reloading was something, but he sealed the deal on his next shot.

Hunting is like heroin. No other hit will ever be as good as the first one. Congrats to him for bagging him and kudos to you for filming it. I wish I had my first kill on video.

Wonderful! Is this his first deer? He'll be hooked on those smokepoles now!

No, he's a killin machine..I'v filmed him pull off the triple trophy Award by the state of AR for 3 years straight. Crossbow,ML, Rifle....Just training him right. Its takin away from my hunting, but will pay off in future. He missed this deer high, from the vid, deer came back. I was just giving the deer time, as he never misses. Deer came back, looked really familiar(3x4). Had to reload with deer looking at us. I had the quick loads, had to move away from the camera, so got footage of a tree, for 2 minutes. The deer would look at every clang I made from the rod/barrel. Had tough time getting bullet down barrel, then he went to shoot it again, and couldn't get the trigger back on the Encore. Had to open it up and forcefully close, then the trigger came back...I was getting nervous at this point, thinking the deer was gone at any moment. Glad it was young(did have fairly big body, though). He lined it up and got him the second time...Still had to rewind the footage in the blind, before we got out to see if it hit, and you could see him hump up on camera, cause it was white-out with naked eye, at the shot...Exciting hunt that neither will forget....

The best hunting memory I have is me killing my first deer with my dad beside me when I was 8 years old on Christmas Eve. After we cleaned the spike buck, my dad told me a secret. He then said that since I was old enough to kill a deer, I needed to know there was no Santa Claus. It was right there in the woods and I will never forget this day as long as I live.

That's awesome you two shared this together. The two of you will never forget this day.

My first son is on the way and he will be here in early February. I can't wait to share the all of the outdoor events with him.
