Any way to make this sumofabitch a little more quiet, besides a silencer? Mine sounds like shooting a damn hunting rifle.. But way more booms and pows. TIA

Put a muzzle brake on it. The bigger it is, the quieter it will be

Be nice, Carson

And jdavid.. I'm sure I could've still hit you from 100 yards with it.

A muzzle brake and short barrel would do the trick IMO

The one I have on there is a flash brake or something? What's a good one to buy?

Appears to be a standard A2 birdcage. That's probably gonna be one of the quietest brakes you can put on there.

You could always take the muzzle device off and just put a thread protector on it.

Would that make it a little more quiet?

There is no real way to effectively quiet a rifle down other than getting a suppressor, and even then it's still not that quiet.

That's because it is a damn hunting rifle. It's a high pressure rifle round shooting through a relatively short barrel. What did you expect? You can buy all the flash hiders and muzzle breaks you want and it will still be loud. Best advice is invest in a good set of ear protection.
