They mpre they are bit, the less it affects them and the more they hate snakes.

My old german shepherd made it to 17. She'd get bit 5 or 6x a year. Put pf the hundreds pf snakes she'd kill.

She'd like that one...she'd hang her head out the window and sling lab drool all over the thing!

I do not know what her issues with road runners are. Its deeply rooted for certain. Probably something to do with the way her distant coyote is portrayed poorly on TV vis a vis roadrunners....she can't stand them and will not allow one to stay about the place. She has no problem with pheasants, which I am told are a distant relative to the roadrunner....from a distance they do resemble one another. She loves to point pheasants (she is a pointing Lab) and is very good at it....but she can not tolerate a roadrunner. She has never caught one...never came close....and of course I have never shot one that she could retrieve (they are protected almost everywhere but I am told by reliable sources they eat like a big quail or a small pheasant...folks in New Mexico kill lots of them because they supposedly feast on quail eggs and baby quail). They're constantly out pacing her is probably the source of her anger toward them...we have discussed it at length, particular when we are quail hunting and she flushes one and heads toward the horizon (she also enjoys the refreshing jolt of energy she gets from her shock collar...she is a bit of a masochist I think) and she can't quite place her paw on the source of anger and it is deeply regrettable for her every time it manifests itself....but is one of those things that defies explanation. She is noticeably dismayed every time, no doubt disappointed in her inability to maintain her composure and breaking a long standing understanding between the two of us...but she is a pretty good actress so I ain't sure her contrition is genuine. She only occasionally mentions my dribbling piss down the front of my waders when taking a leak in a duck boat and getting buzzed at the worst possible moment by ring necks so I usually act as if her embarrassing behavior went un-noticed. Thats what equal partners do and their is little doubt in either of our minds that we are equals...

Yes...hard to read. It's the ... which I think is stream of consciousness punctuation. That was not taught in ... any of my English classes.
