Good ol boy just wasn’t interested in the
Lime light. Closed the barn doors.
All the city folk fed off one another’s self fulfilling prophecies.

Agree. All these attention and big money seekers on the Outdoor channel are 90% clowns

I remember when everyone in the Bow Hunting world worshipped Noel Feathers. He was the Man, would strip naked and bath, midday in a creek to keep his scent down so he could kill record book deer….all this tricks, and the best one he left out, the high fence…

Fred Bear may have given Rompola a run for his money, but I'd put money on Rompola.

Noel bought big deer from a farm in Missouri. The deer were tame. He staged them for kills to make his video
Bitter Cold Bucks 2.
He got caught by a sharp Missouri warden who saw his video of a supposed New Mexico elk kill, that the warden knew his guide as from the tame farm in Missouri. The warden also noticed that the terrain in the video did not look like New Mexico.

Noel Feathers should of been executed for the stunts he pulled

Noel’s buddy, Fitzgerald , was later forced by a state district attorney to refund thousands of dollars , for orders that were never filled, from Team Fitzgerald Hunting.

I did that alot in October. Camping out in the Bogue Chitto NWR, wade out in the river with a bar of scent killer soap. This was early 1990’s.
Did it mid 2000’s also in a creek. Just before the evening climb up.

Howard Hill
I actually went on a bow hunt in 1968 and met Howard Hill who was on the same hunt. I dont know if he was the best but he was amongst them.
“(1922-his death)
Howard Hill (born Lemuel Howard Hill and later cited Howard H. Hill;[2] November 13, 1899 – February 4, 1975) was an expert bowman who for over two decades, from the early 1930s into the 1950s, was often introduced or billed as "The World's Greatest Archer". He established the record for winning the most bow-and-arrow field tournaments in succession, a total of 196 competitions.[3] In addition, Hill served as a supporting actor, trick-shot performer, and technical adviser on archery for Hollywood shorts and feature films. He also produced and directed documentaries and instructional films on bowhunting, and in the 1950s published” two books on the subject, Hunting the Hard Way and Wild Adventure.[4]
