As others said, Shell Beach tons of undersized specs and white trout. Ended up with 3 keepers to probably 30 throw backs got tired of chasing birds and went sight fishing. Caught 3 bull reds and then the wind, clouds and a little rain moved in on me so I called it a day.

Took my Yak to Choupique Bayou just south of Sulphur. Managed a few trout early and 3 Reds. Of course I caught 1 flounder that I couldn't keep and a damn Gaftop that I thought was a nice trout.

21 trout in hopedale but 14 of them were over 18” with 2 over 20”.
Got on a really good top water bite that shut off as soon as the sun got high. Most the fish came in two spurts.

I fished closer to muscle lagoon and found the same thing but the biggest was 16. Had to pick through mostly little ones though.

But you're right, bite shut off as soon as the sun got a few degrees up in the sky.

Fished Delacroix yesterday. Got 20 specks, 3 sheep, 2 keeper reds and 5 bulls along with about a dozen throw back specks. Fished Bay Lafourche and Lake John. All on live shrimp.
