With as much as people pimp fuel economy, they still don't offer manuals.

Stupid. 10% of dodge's truck sales are manual tranmission diesel HD trucks.

We own 2 of them.

Both 5.9s as well.

Yes, it gets old. If you have a fast car, it's fricking awesome. But even then, it gets old.

In a sports car, it's the only way to go. In any other vehicle it will get old.

Absolutely. It blows my mind that people buy automatic sports cars. It's a complete waste.

My first vehicle was a single cab V8 with a manual transmission. It was a blast to drive. Could burn the tires into 3rd.

It blows my mind that people buy $50k trucks with leather air conditioned seats and backup cameras, pony cars with autos, and put 38's on trucks that never see wet grass.

Seriously. All you do is mash the peddle and hold the steering wheel. Where is the fun?

I love dumping the clutch at 3k RPM and roasting the rears. And the punch in the back you get from shifting gears hard. There is nothing better.

Check out this manual car. Will probably be the official fastest car in the world and it's American...

The manual Tacos are bombproof.

The used extended cab Tacos are almost impossible to find.
You may find one that has 120K or so but nothing used that has low mileage.

A new extended cab Taco took Price LeBlanc over six weeks to find for me in 08.

I've gotta a good man at Price.
He can hunt anything down.

I'll post his email if you're interested.

Just go to the dealer tell them what you want they can locate it for you. Or just order it.

If you are in something with torque, it isn't even that bad in traffic. Now hitting the twisty roads.....heaven.

Quit all that talk. You're going to page G A S T O N.

To the OP.

Manuals are great. Never get tiring because they become second nature. They're more engaging in a good way.

Hell, you can probably leave the keys in the ignition because nobody dumb enough to steal a vehicle can drive a M/T.

It does get old sometimes. It's not BAD, but there are times you'll start wishing you had an auto. Or I did, but I also live and work in the city. All my trucks/jeeps were manuals until a few years ago. I got a 4x4 Ranger with an auto, and it's been auto ever since - CJ7 with turbo 350, and now an F150 with auto.
