I believe so, the more I actually read up on this it sounds like the exposure that it will bring them will be leaps and bounds better than it was with BASS. If they can actually bring live television coverage it would be a game changer. I liked Defoe's explanation comparing it to people watching live golf on tv.

One interesting question is if media personalities like Zona and Hite (who also are sponsored by Bass Pro Shops) will make the switch...Supposedly the live coverage will dwarf what the Elite Series has done in the past

I just don’t see how those 3 don’t make the move to MLF. They have nothing else to prove. They are older and have chance to win a lot of money.

KVD was a huge part in MLF from the beginning. He’ll fish it but I bet he doesn’t do anything “official” until after the Classic
The think I don’t like about Elite series is their broadcasting dropped off significantly. 5 years ago the weekend after a tournament it was on tv and showed a lot. Now they broadcast 5-6 times a year and cram 2 tourneys in one show. The writing has been on the wall for a while.
I just hope MLF and it’s thing stays consistent with the airings and channels. I hate missing them when they switch from Sportsman to CBS Sports or whatever.

I happened on his “Ike live” deal on YouTube last night and he was discussing this with Ken Duke. I know some people don’t like Ike but the parts I listened to gave this some context. The guest did bring up an interesting issue with MLF though, in that they don’t really have a farm system like BASS or FLW. They are currently reliant on those two to produce talent. Their format is hard to recreate at the club and local level, in his words they are gonna have the stars but they haven’t “made a star yet”. Ike just seemed to be along for the ride and I couldn’t really tell where he was leaning.

Same here, but go figure, I haven't found anywhere it will re-air or anywhere to watch it.
