They already have a deal with ESPN, all of their live coverage is available on Watch ESPN.

I like MLF but I also don't agree on just a numbers thing either. Any Joe Blow witha rod and reel can get lucky and get on schooling 12" fish.

So some of you are saying that the guy who happens to have a school of 12" fish come up in front of him and catches 20 1-lb dinks in 8 minutes deserves a tourney win more than the guy who worked his arse off all day long over the entire lake to catch 6 3lb'ers?

Not sure I can buy into the "winner" being a better fisherman that day over angler No. 2

Well I mean fishing at its heart is providing food for ones family. The guy who catches the most pounds is the better provider

Evers, Skeet, Horton, Z. Birge, Marty Robinson, & C. Lane have all announced they are going to MLF...Alton Jones announcing tonight...Even with the BASS counter I doubt very many turn MLF down

The Bassmaster Classic is still the most prestigious tournament in bass fishing. I just can't imagine some of those guys leaving B.A.S.S. behind knowing they won't be fishing anymore Classics.

I'm yet to see any anglers say they are fishing the MLF exclusively. Just that they will fish MLF tour. I assume when weeks don't conflict since there is only 8 MLF events. They will fish the Elite series the other weeks.

The anglers are what makes it the most prestigious...It will no longer be that after the 2019 Classic unfortunately

Doesn't sound like its possible to do both...Skeet and Horton both admitted they will no longer fish BASS

It doesn't say in their contracts that they can't fish another tour, but from everything that's been said, it will be impossible to fish anything other than the MLF tour. Their tournaments will be 8 days long, including practice, so that makes it hard to really fish anything else.

Evers and Skeet already said the Classic will be their last event with BASS and the last classic they ever fish. The Classic definitely won't have the same feel to it with most of the regulars not fishing it anymore. I'm still waiting on KVD to announce that he's leaving BASS. As involved as he has been with MLF I just don't see him staying.

I don't see any of the current MLF guys staying with BASS...I'm interested to see what Swindle does since he's said before he doesn't really like the MLF format

My buddy said you'll see most of the older guys go mlf, but a lot of the younger guys had to work too hard to qualify to get where they are and they can't leave on the hope that this new thing will work out. I'm not saying I agree with him, but that is his thinking fwiw

As a young guy I'd think you'd want as much exposure as possible...MLF certainly will not be beat there...being 1 of 80 professional anglers invited with a 3 year guarantee would seem like a hard deal for a young guy to pass up to me
