Anyone going? I’ll be there w/the 1954 20’ Chris Craft Holiday “LEGACY”. I’m keeping her on the trailer not in the water. Stop by and say hi.

The frickin’ Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival
… I used to live in Madisonville for about 4 years. Love this festival and plan to go build my own wooden lake skiff at the maritime museum when my daughter gets a bit older to make her own boat.

Did the quick and dirty one year. Good times. I do recall all my friends leaving me at this bar right there by the river. Nice place. Lsu was playing Florida. I think we won. I drank my weight in wild Turkey.

That’s a fun festival for sure.

Riverside probably. Loved that place. They’ve closed. Unfortunate for the cigarette sales at Route 22.
It is a great festival. I have a ton of stuff to do this weekend but if I can get free for a couple of hours tomorrow, I may swing through. They always have cool vendors.

Drove through this morning, didn't get to stop but the crowd looked good, boats looked good, weather is awesome. Should be a good time.

I just got back from it after taking my two boys for a few hours. Just now seeing this thread, or I would’ve stopped in and said hello.
Gorgeous day to be by the river!

Maybe next time. This is my first time participating. I sold my 1938 32ft cypress hull lugger “Bayou Duck” and it was renamed Wood Duck and shown successfully several times.

I was told The Wood Duck was donated to the museum and later sold, now sadly sunk. Goodbye Bayou Duck.

Thanks for telling us! My wife and I went for the first time- we both love boats, it was a great time! Saw yours- but forgot to stop by and introduce ourselves- she's a beaut, Clark!
