Any suggestions for a machine shop that can do occasional work on my light/heavy equipment?

South BR or Ascension would be most convenient for me, but will go further if I need to.

Baton Rouge Machine Works is great. Not the cheapest, but they are very fast and do great work. They're a machine shop though, not a forklift repair shop. Not sure what you're looking to have done.

Fair enough, today's priority is getting some broken bolts out/rethreaded... whatever it takes

Call the smaller shops. Find one that takes the work. If they do it well and in a reasonable time frame bring em some food and say thanks later. They’ll remember you and build a “relationship”. Good luck with it.

Professional Fabrication aka Profab. I use them a ton for plant work.
