Rando, had a lady in our class paint the room with a pistol when she had questions on whether it was loaded properly. Terrifying. At a minimum, the instructor gave her a tutorial on the operation as well as some safety pointers. You can't tell me it didn't have value, because prior to that exchange she easily could've killed herself or someone else in the name of constitutional right.
She could run over you in the parking lot, too. What’s your point. FYI plenty shite can kill you.

Hey, call it like it is (and by the letter of the law you are correct), but don't act like some people getting at least this nominal training doesn't have some benefit.

And who’s to say these morons wouldn’t seek out instruction on their own?

None of these are constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Your reasoning is a terrible argument. The classes wont stop and there are benefits to getting a permit.

This just allowed law abiding citizens to conceal carry. A criminal isnt going to follow the law anyway, so this only impacts law abiding citizens.

Its idiots like you that keep giving away freedoms for no reason. Im terrified that you are allowed to vote.
This is just a terrible post all around and paints you as a pretty shitty person. If it truly were a freedom, we would not need legislation. The courts would decide our laws on this are unconstitutional. So, go ahead and call people idiots when you really don't know what you're talking about just because you disagree with them.

Whats terrible about it? That I called someone an idiot that called someone else a piece of shite?

If it truly were a freedom, we would not need legislation.

So the fact that we are trying to take freedoms back means Im a shitty person?

Probably not, they would just give an opinion and not really do anything.

Ya, I totally making everything up. Concealed carry classes would cease to exist and there would be no benefits to getting a permit like reciprocity with other states or bypassing the atf background check when buying a gun.

Might as well join your boy in the column to the left.

Nothing in that posts suggests he's an idiot.

No, you attacking someone when you don't know what you're talking about suggests you are.

I'm just telling you how this works, not what the result would be.

I never said anything about that. You're a fricking a-hole

So you agree with him that because people are idiots we should gave to get a license to conceal carry?

Thats stupid.

Using that fact that there are stupid people in the world to justify taking rights/freedoms away from others suggests that.

No, you attacking someone when you don't know what you're talking about suggests you are.

Are we talking constitutional carry or not?

I dont disagree with this.

I never said that, but it's an upon which reasonable minds can differ. They obviously do, yet you think there's only one way. Calling it stupid is an emotional reaction from a gun nut who really can't see the issue for what it is.

See, this is just dumb/uneducated. No one is taking away a right. You simply do not understand the process.

I see the issue just fine. I dont think I really hurt his feelings, if I did he might need thicker skin.

I understand the process, a right that should be free to all requires a class, background check, and money for a permit. This bill was to remove the cost requirements.

Permitless carry essentially.

Honest question: why are alot of you so opposed to firearms training and licensing?

Wait, you want me to have to get an ID (license) to exercise my right to carry according to the Constitution?

That's discriminatory and makes it more difficult for minorities. They don't have the money to take the classes, can't get transportation to them, or figure out the paperwork.

You think people are going to take a class and get a permit that is not required?

By your logic, why do we have drivers licenses?

Yes, there are benefits to getting the permit.

Reciprocity with other states, without the permit you cant carry in other states.

Bypassing the background check to buy a gun.

Ya, thats not this works.

Dont take offense to my idiot comment earlier. Alxtgr did have a point. Its an emotional subject, and nothing personal meant by it.

See, here's where some of you are lost and you're being asses about it, then call me names because I call you out on it

If it's your right under the constitution, why do you need the legislature?

The right is for the people to keep and bear arms. From there it is interpreted. So far the supreme court has refused to hear cases on the matter, but that may change.
