Awesome man! Good luck!

Y'all going offshore or inshore?

Offshore forecast is 3-5' seas for that timespan. Make sure you get some bonine if y'all head out

ETA: did you see the pictures of us doing TRX? That shite works!

I don't like the MS system, because your license can easily expire without you realizing it...

I prefer a firm date like LA uses...though granted, it would be a lot better if they all expired just before teal season starts in the fall...

Talked to the guy in charge of this in the Fisheries Dept. the other day (good friends father). They are actually working on it, by what he said...but who knows when it is going to happen.

They do cause it CAN happen whenever they want. ESPECIALLY with technology today, there's no excuse.

I received a lifetime license for graduation this week! I would have easily paid it off by now.

Lifetime is the way to go. I got mine when I was in my early twenties, and it has already paid for itself.

Bought my little boy his for his first Christmas for $200 for hunting and fishing. Figured it was a good investment and besides, anything we got him he would never remember anyway.

My mom bought my son a lifetime hunt/fish license when he was 2 or so, IIRC it was $200.

I got screwed on the June thing too. Went fishing Saturday and again next week and, of course, I had to pay full price even though it expires in a month.

I can almost see doing what LA does now but they need to be fair and pro-rate them (even if only in 3 month increments).

Lifetime, FTW. Saves not just money, but time and hassle. I never have to worry about anything but a Federal Duck stamp. It covers fresh & saltwater fishing, small and big game hunting, archery, blackpowder, turkey hunting, WMA permit, etc.

I can't beleive there are people in S. La that have gone until May w/o fishing saltwater. WTH?

See the money the LDWF brings in that first week of July and you will completly understand why they keep the expiration date at June 30 every year I admit i got caught last year, been fishing for 20+ years and totaly forgot about the June 30 expiration date. I will one day get my life time. probably once I becomne a senior citizen and get that discount!

FWIW I fish every weekend and have a freezer full of fillets. Why get up at 2am, drive 4 hours, burn that gas and deal with jackasses that come running over the first time you boat a fish if you don't have to. I'll pitch my brush hogs by a willow any day of the week and save saltwater experiences for once in a blue moon.

Oh and turns out I bout my saltwater when I bought basic in Feb so its all good. Till next month....
