Apparently it is allowed in their locker room

Even though the SEC prohibits the use of tobacco by players, coaches, assistants, etc. within the venue (including the locker room) before, during and/or after events.
Thinking about making a trip down to Delacroix this weekend to wet a line. Problem is I have never fished this area. Looking at the map it appears to be a pretty decent boat ride down to they bays. Should I make the trek down there or stay inside and fish the lakes? Primary target will be specks but wouldn't mind throwing a few reds in the boat! TIA for any help!

This is a true statement! See my tickets below, thanks to a good friend I was able to snatch up the last two tickets they had. Was planning on buying them at the gate becuase I still dont know if I will be able to go, but if I can I know I gots me a ticket. Hope to see yall there
Anyone know if the bulls are running through the pass in Grand Isle yet? Usually around this time of year they are running pretty good through there but I haven't heard anything. I'm wanting to take my 6yo down there next weekend to let him latch on to one of those big boys! He has been telling me he wants to catch a big fish, only problem is he has the attention span and patients of.....well a 6yo!
Any reports from this area?

I'm heading down to the Hopedale/shell beach area tomorrow for the first time and loking for any advice of where to fish. Also how is Campos Marina? Easy to get in and out of? Do they usually have a good selection of bait? Would I be better of going a little further down to Brenton Sound Marina? Just trying to get an idea of what I am in for in the morning. TIA
I am thinking about trading in a couple of my guns towards newer/different guns this weekend at the gun show. I have a Winchester 30-30 model 94ae (plain jane nothing special) and a Savage .17 HMR bolt action both with Simmons scopes and both are in really good condition. I am looking to trade the .17 for towards an AR style .22 and the 30-30 towards an AK. I am just trying to prepare myself for what may be offered and how much extra I need to be prepared to spend to get what I want. I hate to part with any of my guns, but I really don’t care for the 30-30 and I don’t necessarily need a .17 and a .22. TIA

This has got to be the loudest gameday crowd i have seen thus far this year, and its only the "pre" gameday show ! The stadium will be frikin crazy tonight :geauxtigers:
Don’t know about chicken and waffles but I can vouch for fried quail and sweet potato waffles. Had it at LeCreole a while back. It was toped w/ bourbon cane syrup and it was delish! If you ever go there get it, you will not be disappointed.
Anyone happen to have a power trim assembly for a mid to late 90's Mercury 175hp EFI? I know its a long shot but trying to find a used one at a decent price. TIA

You talking about Caminada Pass? If so thats probably where we will be fishing. somewhere between there and the surf it looks like. Unfortunately I am not bringing my boat, due to the size of our group, because I would love to hit some of the bays. Good luck to ya
Heading down tomorrow for the weekend and was wondering if anyone has heard of any reports. TIA

When is the best time to fish?

rising tide or falling tide?
full moon or new moon?
before a front or after a front?

I always hear people say different things what do you guys think?

Now that a "cool story bro"!
Anyone else hates when a restaurant takes an item off the menu that you grow to love and basically make it your go to item? I went to the Chimes last night, for the first time in a while, because I was craving two specific items and of course some cold beer. So I get to my table open the menu and notice that they added some new entrees, without even looking at the appetizers I tell the waitress I will start off with a beer and an order of cheese sticks, she tells me we do not have them anymore, I’m like WTF its cheese stick every bar/pub/restaurant serves cheese sticks. so once again without looking I say well give me the crabmeat stuffed jalapenos…..guess what, I get the same response “we no longer serve them”. So I finally look at the apps. and I notice they took quite a few solid items away from the appetizers and replaced them with some fricking jalapeno cheese fries, which now put two “cheese fry” appetizers on the menu, some mac and cheese shite, and shrimp and grits. Not cool Chimes…..Not cool.
Try this one, this is my default pork roast/chop gravy.

Pork roast/chops
1 lg onion (chopped)
1/2 bell pepper (chopped)
Minced Garlic (I dont measure my garlic I just put it in untill I feel its enough)
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can rotel
1 tbls Pickapepper sauce
1 cup water or stock
1 cup wite wine
1 Tbls olive oil
Seasoning of choice (Tony C's, slap ya momma, etc.)

season pork roast or chops with seasoning of choice. I use a mixture of LA brand seasooning and swamp dust.

In a deep pan or pot heat oil and brown the pork on both sides.

after the meat is browned on both sides remove the meat and deglaze the pan by adding the onions and wine. allow wine to reduce slightly and onions to sweat.

add bellpepper, garlic, and rotel allow the mixture to cook for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Next add the soup, water/stock, and pickapepper sauce. stir all ingredients and mixture to a simmer/low boil.

once the mixture is simmering return the pork to the pan and allow to cook for approximately 30 minutes (may need longer cooking time if you are cooking a roast).

serve over white rice. This dish pairs nicely with fresh snap beans, fresh sweet corn and a tall glass of sweet tea.

Some people are opposed to using condensed soups in a gravy (I am in most cases) but this one is a pretty solid recipe. Give it a shot, it will not disappoint.
If you go, You will get a chance to taste every pizza Baton Rouge has to offer  but serious they serve alot of pizza at this thing. I have Been going for the last 5 years, I think it is worth it. aside from all the pizza you can try they do have some tasty options from many other places from around town. Plus the "free" drinks are pretty cool as well, just be prepaired to drink you beer 4 oz at a time.
