This is just for me to take to range/camp where we shoot handguns and .22's etc as well as use in home and in truck. I apreciate the information and help and i am sure should I decide to get the cc i would need another specifically for that............... in the end I guess it will come to personal preference

I can't argue with any of this.

Since it's just for playing around, get whatever you think looks cool. Or sexy.

If you had said it would be for CCW, I'd have suggested ignoring 80% of the replies. In fact, I'd have suggested not seeking such opinions on an outdoor board. There are forums that focus on self-defense training (of which, apparently, few on this board have availed themselves), self-defense tactics and self-defense handguns.

Then again --- you just read my opinion on an outdoor board. So I guess I have to recommend that you ignore it, too. ....... especially since my opinions are not derived from Google searches, from Wikipedia, nor from Youtube videos.

For a range gun I definitely suggest a hi power.

You already own a clone so you're familiar with it. They are widely accepted to be fine arse pieces of work. The hi power is a fantastic piece of range iron IMO. Easy to shoot well, very nice to look at, and it has a cool name.

The CZ version of the hi power is also a fine chunk of iron.

I think the 92 has been passed by several pistols since its introduction in the 70's (?).

Sigs suck for lefties.

Must not have ambidextrous controls.

Guess not.

I never paid to the southpaw friendliness of sigs.

They feel pretty damn amazing for non-retarded (read-right handed) folks

Precisely.

They have a decocker and slide release perfectly set for right handed shooters.

The slide release can't be operated with the index finger.

Seems like with as many variations of each model they have they'd have an ambi or southpaw version. I know several left handed shooters

I really wish all the DA/SA pistols of the world had the option of carrying cocked and locked.

I had not really considered the Glock - just a personal preference but went and looked at a lot of guns this am and kept coming back to the Browning, the Baretta and the Glock 19 Gen4 actually. tough decesion
